User Management

User Management gives you a complete overview of the users within your organization. Within User Management you are able to create, delete and edit users.

Description

Within User Management you will be able to grant certain permissions and labels to one of your composed User Groups. All functionalities within this feature are described below. 

Guideline

Create User
  1. Go to ‘User Management’ within 'Settings'. 
  2. Click ‘Create User’.
  3. Fill in the details for the user you want to create. All fields are required.
  4. Click ‘Create User’.

You have now created a regular user without manager permissions. This user can access all available features within your organization, except the user management functionality.

Edit User and Create Manager
  1. Go to ‘User Management’.
  2. Find the user you would like to edit.
  3. Click ‘Edit’. 
  4. You can now change the user’s first name, last name and email address.
  5. To grant manager permissions to the user, just check ‘User Management’ under ‘Permissions’.
  6. Click ‘Save’.

If you granted manager permissions to one or more of your users, they will now be able to view, edit and delete other users within your organization.

If you have changed a user’s name or email details, all reports and alerts created by the former user will be reassigned to the new user.

Reset Password
  1. Go to ‘User Management’.
  2. Find the user you would like to reset the password for. 
  3. Click ‘Reset Password’ and confirm.

You have successfully resetted the password of the user. The new password will automatically be sent to the user’s email address.

Delete User

Deleting an active user simply means that their login to the Mapp DMP is no longer valid. All reports and alerts created by this user will remain in the Mapp DMP and will be tagged with the (former) user’s ID. If necessary, you can contact us for assistance with assigning reports/alerts to another user. To streamline your processes, you may wish to simply ‘Edit User’ with the new user’s details as opposed to deleting a user and then creating a new one.

  1. Go to ‘User Management’.
  2. Find the user you would like to delete.
  3. Click ‘Delete’ and confirm.

You have successfully deleted the user. This user no longer has access the Mapp DMP.

Approving New Users

When a user logs in with Google for the first time, he will see a screen telling him his account is pending for approval. User Managers in your organization are able to approve these pending users. Please follow these steps to do so: 

  1. Go to 'User Management'
  2. You will see the unconfirmed user in the upper part of the screen. 
  3. Click 'Confirm' or 'Reject' depending on whether you'd like to add or delete the pending user. 
  4. Confirm your action and the user will pop up in the user management list. 

Adding trusted domains

Please reach out to your Client Services Manager to add approved domains.

User Limits

Each organization’s subscription to the Mapp DMP includes a specific number of users. If you are unable to create a new user, it is most likely because you have reached your maximum number of active users. In this case, you’ll either need to delete a user or edit an existing one. If you need to increase your total number of users, please contact your Client Services Manager.

Sharing Logins

We strongly discourage sharing login details between multiple users – for example, within a department or between employees with similar roles. For optimum visibility and accountability for your organization and campaigns, each individual accessing the DMP needs to have their own unique user profile.
