Types
The Import Data feature allows you to import (external) data files and unify it with data collected via DMP tracking pixels.
Text
This is the default option for imported data. When you select this option, the data will be imported as a dimension and the data will be displayed the way you imported it.
Example: Product type
Numeric
When you select numeric as the data type, the data will be converted from a dimension into a measure.
Example: Number of orders from your CRM system
Numeric range
A numeric range can be used to create buckets with data. You're able to name the bucket and set a minimum and maximum value. If you don't enter any minimum and/or maximum value, the system automatically takes the lowest or highest value of the uploaded data.
Example: The imported attribute is 'Income Level' which contains the income of users. The income should be divided into buckets.
Bucket name | Minimum value | Maximum value |
---|---|---|
Low income | None | 1500 |
Medium income | 1501 | 4000 |
High income | 4001 | None |
Labels
Selecting labels as you're data type will allow you to rename your incoming data. This allows you to select more user-friendly labels for your data. Multiple values can be assigned to one label, which means you can create categories. Click on 'Load Data' to load in the data values you have uploaded.
Example: The imported attribute is 'Sales Region' which contains multiple countries which should be divided into regions.
Name | Value(s) |
