  1. Add your test email Ids as a contact in CEP. Make sure these are valid email Ids as you will need to open these emails.

  2. In CEP, create a group and add your test email ids as members there.

  3. Go to Content > Email > Create and create an email and send it to the group created above. Send the email. Don’t open the email yet. Note: You will need to have cep-credits in your account to be able to send emails. Also, the owner of the group you are sending emails to should also have enough credits.

  4. Go to Automations > Whiteboard NEW > Create > Select Events-based

  5. In the whiteboard add an event like “Reacts to email message”. Add the specific group, you just sent above message to, in the Whitebaord Audience definition after you select the event. Select the condition Opens an Email Message in Configure Entry Event > Match the condition. Afterwards, select all of the options that would lead to the email just sent.

  6. Click on plus sign on the whiteboard and add job “Add contacts to DMP audience”. Select the DMP Audience (not necessarily but ideally chose the Dmp audience which is integrated with Mapp-Email platform so we can check in the cep groups if the users were added to the audience). Note: different user roles can restrict this feature. PM role has permission to this feature and client administrator does not have permission to this feature.

  7. Activate the whiteboard.

  8. Open the email that is in your inbox or junk/spam box in your test email accounts.

  9. Come back to the Whiteboard and you will see that the users have been added to the DMP audience. Also, check the integrated platform to see if the users are added. In case the audience was integrated to Mapp-Email then check the corresponding CEP Group > members to see if the test users where added.
